TX BEG-DOE Frio Brine Pilot Co2 Sequestration Phase II - completed
Summer 2006 -
a second deeper injection interval in the Frio Sand package was used to conduct a CO2 injection experiment. The CO2 injection experiment provided valuable data in predicting CO2 plume movement and behavior. In addition to real-time bottomhole pressure, temperature, and seismic data collection, active bottomhole sampling of formation fluids in the monitor well was achieved using a novel approach.
