CO2 Sequestration

Sandia’s entry into this growing industry was a natural progression for which we are uniquely qualified. Sandia has unique insights to carbon sequestration field demonstration projects originating from our designation as Field Services Provider for the first-in-kind Frio Brine Pilot project in 2003. We have provided consulting and engineering services for CO2 geologic sequestration research at pilot and commercial sites for over 8 years, under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Regional CO2 Partnerships, and other groups that are investigating long-term mitigation and management of CO2 emissions.

Sandia’s current involvement in the Southeast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (SECARB) Cranfield Phase II and Phase III project, as well as the recent award by DOE for geologic characterization of the Triassic Newark Basin, further solidifies our abilities and commitment to the industry.

Our team is ready to move your project forward from feasibility and concept to installation and operation. Our services include, but are not limited to:

CO2 Sequestration

Feasibility and risk assessment studies
Project management and procurement
