Who we are
Sandia Technologies, LLC is a privately owned engineering and consulting company established in 1996, and based in Houston, Texas. The company is a leader in injection well consulting and geologic sequestration of CO2 research. Sandia has an excellent reputation among state and federal regulators, industry clients, and its peers. Our experience and expertise spans industrial, petroleum,, and environmental applications of injection wells, gas storage wells and CO2 injection wells for Geological Sequestration (GS) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). We are staffed with professional geologists, engineers, senior well specialists, reservoir engineers, and GIS-CAD technicians.
What we do
The company’s major focus is to provide subsurface geological and reservoir evaluation, injection well permitting, and engineering consulting services to further underground injection well disposal applications and storage technology. Consulting and training is provided to injection well operators at a diverse range of industrial facilities which include: chemical plants, utility and power generation plants, petroleum production and refineries, gas storage fields, mineral processing sites, food processing plants, and CO2 sequestration sites.
Sandia is in the fore-front of CO2 research projects in geologic sequestration and enhanced oil recovery operations. The firm is currently providing project management and consulting services on numerous U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Regional CO2 Partnership pilot tests. Additionally, the company is co-investigator and researcher in a recent DOE award for geologic characterization of the Triassic Newark Basin for potential CO2 sequestration.
